ARS to Attend NOISE-CON 2026 in Long Beach
Acoustic Research Systems (ARS) will be attending NOISE-CON 2026, taking place from 9–11 July in Long Beach, California.
Hosted by INCE-USA, the Institute of Noise Control Engineering of the USA, NOISE-CON brings together professionals and students working across noise control, acoustics, and related engineering disciplines.
For ARS, the event provides a valuable opportunity to connect with the broader acoustics community and take part in conversations around advanced acoustic testing, aerospace development, spacecraft qualification, and mission readiness.
As space systems continue to grow in complexity, the need for reliable, efficient, and representative test methodologies remains critical. From acoustic qualification to in-situ modal testing, ARS’ work is focused on helping engineering teams better understand how structures respond to demanding dynamic environments before they reach flight.
This focus will also be reflected in the technical program at NOISE-CON 2026, where ARS is a co-author of a paper exploring the modeling of Direct Field Acoustic Noise testing for spacecraft and launch vehicle applications.
Presentation: Modeling Direct Field Acoustic Noise (DFAN) Testing of Spacecraft and Launch Vehicles
The paper, “Modeling Direct Field Acoustic Noise (DFAN) Testing of Spacecraft and Launch Vehicles,” will be presented by Phil Shorter of Dassault Systèmes. Co-authors include Julien Legault and Dr. Indranil Dandaroy of Dassault Systèmes, and Ed Heyd of ARS. The paper will be presented on Thursday, July 9, from 4:20 PM to 4:40 PM as part of the Structural Acoustics general technical session.
The presentation will contribute to the wider technical discussion around Direct Field Acoustic Noise testing and its role in supporting spacecraft and launch vehicle development.
At NOISE-CON 2026, the ARS team looks forward to engaging with attendees working across acoustic measurement, noise control, structural dynamics, and test methodology development.
If you are attending NOISE-CON 2026 and would like to connect with ARS, we would be glad to hear from you
