ARS to Attend the 39th Annual Small Satellite Conference
ARS is pleased to confirm its attendance at the 39th Annual Small Satellite Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, one of the industry’s most anticipated gatherings for exploring new frontiers in small satellite technology and innovation.
Organized by Utah State University’s Space Dynamics Laboratory, the SmallSat Conference brings together an international community of engineers, scientists, and industry professionals to exchange ideas, showcase advancements, and shape the future of small spacecraft. This year’s theme, “Reaching New Horizons,” emphasizes the growing role of collaboration across government, commercial, and academic sectors in advancing satellite capabilities.
A Space to Connect and Collaborate
On Wednesday, August 13, ARS will be hosting a classroom-style session at the Small Satellite Conference, taking place in Room 155 F from 3:30–4:00 pm. The session, titled “Direct Field Acoustic Testing for Modal Analysis and Launch Qualification,” will explore how Direct Field Acoustic Noise (DFAN) testing can be used not only to qualify hardware for launch, but also to extract modal data for correlation with Finite Element Models.
We’ll discuss how advancements in excitation technology now allow vehicles to be excited well below known acoustic thresholds – as low as 2 Hz, enabling meaningful modal data capture with minimal disruption.
In addition to the session, ARS will also have a private meeting room available throughout the event. If you’d like to connect for a one-on-one chat or stop by to learn more about how we can support your upcoming missions, we’d love to see you.
Exploring What’s Next in SmallSat Innovation
The 2025 agenda dives deep into breakthrough applications in earth observation, defense, communications, and beyond, all through the lens of increasing access and reducing mission complexity. With a schedule spanning technical sessions, keynote panels, and collaborative networking events, SmallSat 2025 offers a comprehensive look at the evolving small satellite landscape.
Acoustic Testing Built for Scale
From compact cube-sats to larger, more complex platforms, ARS’s Direct Field Acoustic Noise (DFAN) testing services offer a scalable, accurate approach to simulating launch conditions across the full spectrum of small satellite form factors. Whether integrated into a satellite manufacturer’s facility or deployed as a mobile test campaign, our solutions are engineered to ensure reliable results, on time, on budget, and without compromise.
