ARS Heads to New Orleans for the 95th Shock and Vibration Symposium

From September 21–25, 2025, Acoustic Research Systems (ARS) will join industry leaders, engineers, and researchers at the 95th Shock and Vibration Symposium in New Orleans, LA – the longest-running and most respected forum for the structural dynamics and vibration community.

Since 1947, this annual gathering has brought together experts from government, defense, academia, and private industry to exchange ideas, share research, and advance best practices in shock and vibration testing. The 2025 program will feature over 200 technical papers, classified and unclassified sessions, in-depth tutorials, and hands-on training opportunities. Topics span ship shock testing, weapons effects, structural dynamics, instrumentation techniques, vibration modeling, and environmental qualification methods.

Showcasing ARS Expertise

As a trusted partner in Direct Field Acoustic Noise (DFAN) testing and environmental test campaign management, ARS will be onsite to connect with peers, clients, and collaborators. Attendees can visit our team in the Exhibit Hall (Booth 311) to explore how we deliver precision, repeatability, and scalability – whether at your facility, ours, or a third-party location.

At the symposium, ARS will present “An Electrodynamic Method for MIL-STD-810 Acoustic Testing,” a fresh approach to acoustic qualification designed to address today’s aerospace and defense challenges.

Date: Wednesday, September 24
Time: 8:25 AM
Presenters: Dale Schick (ARS) & Ed Kinsella (EM Acoustics)

Join the discussion, and don’t miss this collaborative presentation.

Why It Matters

The Shock and Vibration Symposium remains the premier venue for exchanging knowledge and developing solutions that push the limits of performance and survivability in extreme environments. For ARS, it’s an opportunity to share our proven approaches to high-fidelity acoustic testing, collaborate on complex qualification challenges, and stay at the forefront of innovations shaping the industry.
